Where are your products made?

Your Balustrade is fabricated at Kirrawee, the Powder Coating done at Chipping Norton , your glass is processed at Wetherill Park.

Where in my home am I legally required to have a Balustrade?

The Building Code of Australia (BCA) Volume 2 Part 3.9.2.2 specifies that:
A continuous balustrade or other barrier must be provided along the side of any roof to which public access is provided, any stairway or ramp, any floor, corridor, hallway, balcony, verandah, mezzanine, access bridge or the like and along the side of any path of access to a building,
if it is not bounded by a wall; and, any level is more than 1 m above the surface beneath

This also can apply to pools and spas, where a pool fence is required sometimes.

If you are still unsure if this applies to you, contact our office and speak to one of our helpful and knowledgeable team.

Do balustrades rust? Are they easy to clean?

All our systems and fixings are Aluminium or Stainless Steel, and are non-rusting products.

Most products can be easily cleaned with soap and water. Product care documents are available. Download here

Stainless steel needs maintenance if it is used externally, as it can tea-stain. Even when using the correct alloys (316 and 2205). Do not believe anyone who says Stainless is maintenance free. Download here

See our blog section for details on how to maintain your balustrade.

We provide a Certificate of Compliance with every job and guarantee Council Approval

Can we see you weekends or after hours ?

Yes. Aside from normal working hours, we can come to your place before or after work on weekdays or on Saturdays. Just ring us and we will work sometime out.

Due to Council noise restrictions, installation needs to be in normal working hours.

I have a old Balustrade does it still comply? Do I need to replace it? What about Pool Fencing?

Your Balustrade is fabricated at Kirrawee, the Powder Coating done at Chipping Norton , your glass is processed at Wetherill Park.

If your Balustrading was compliant at time of construction it is compliant now. However… all new work needs to be done to current standards. All councils allow maintenance but most will not allow the replacement of any structural member without bringing the whole up to current Codes.

Pool Fencing is a different case. The legislation is retrospective. All existing pools in Australia no matter the year of construction need to be the current Standards. As of April 2016 it is a legal requirement that your Pool Fencing is compliant prior to selling your house.
